How is IIT Kanpur Faculty Fighting COVID-19?
The whole faculty is working meticulously so as not to let the pandemic hamper with the learning process. The faculty expressed their views about holding virtual convocation and how difficult yet necessary it was for them. Out of 7500 students, the college has called back 650 of them and expect 1000 students to be back at campus by the year end.
The motive behind this move is to not let their research work get hindered. All those students who can carry on with their research at their homes are already doing so. Even though colleges are calling students back for research purposes, it is purely voluntary and they are following strict government guidelines regarding social distancing and quarantining period.
