The Ottawa University scholarships include 3 Prestigious admission scholarships. They are the Schulich Leader Scholarship, the Indigenous Leadership Scholarship, and the Loran Award. The details regarding these scholarships are provided below:

  1. Schulich Leader Scholarship: This scholarship is given to top STEM students with an entrepreneurial mindset. To receive this scholarship, you must be in your high school final year, or be a citizen of Canada, and be in CEGP. This is a nomination-based scholarship. This scholarship is renewable. 
  2. Indigenous Leadership Scholarship: Indigenous students demonstrating leadership skills, and an excellent academic record are given this scholarship. To receive this scholarship, you must be a full-time student. Moreover, you must be enrolled for the 1st time in an undergraduate program in the Civil Law Section, direct-entry faculty, and Faculty of Law. However, you must have an average score of 85% or more. This scholarship is renewable. 
  3. Loran Award: This scholarship is available to students engaged in leadership and community service. Only distinguished students are eligible. You must be in your final year of a full-time high school program to be eligible.

Faculty Admission Scholarships 2025-2026

The Ottawa University scholarships include the Faculty Admission Scholarships 2025-2026 These are faculty-based scholarships. Therefore, they are awarded to students who are enrolled in that particular faculty.

  1. Faculty of Arts Dean’s Merit Scholarship: Faculty of Arts undergraduate students with a minimum admission average of 90% are given this scholarship. This scholarship is renewable.
  2. Faculty of Engineering Dean’s Merit Scholarship: Those who are enrolling for the first time at the university and have an admission average between 95 and 100%  or between 90 and 94.9% are granted this scholarship. 
  3. Faculty of Engineering Memorial Scholarship: Students enrolling in engineering programs (excluding computer science), have an admission average of 80%, and meet the eligibility criteria can apply.

  6. Faculty of Social Sciences Jean Chrétien Scholarship: Full-time undergraduate students in political science or public administration with an admission average of 92% are eligible.
  7. Fleur de Lys Admission Scholarship: Full-time French Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program students enrolled in at least 3 courses are eligible. However, you must be a resident of Canada (except Ottawa territory) and must have completed your high school with a high admission average.

Scholarships for international students 2025-2026

The Ottawa University scholarships are also available specifically for international students. These scholarships are collectively referred to as Scholarships for international students 2025-2026. For example, India. You must be enrolled in an undergraduate program in English to be eligible. 
  • Faculty of Arts Dean’s Merit Scholarship: Applicants enrolling for the 1st time in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Arts and having secured a minimum admission average of 90% are eligible for this award.
  • Faculty of Engineering Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship is available to full-time students with a minimum admission average of 80%, and meets the requirements.
  • Faculty of Social Sciences Dean’s Excellence Award for International Students: You must be a full-time international student with the Faculty of Social Sciences. You must be studying at the university for the first time and must have secured an admission average of 92%
  • Education Bursary for International Students with Disabilities: This bursary is available to applicants with a permanent disability or a medical condition that prevents them from taking up more than 12 units.
