If the minor is traveling with a person other than their parent or if they are traveling by themselves then a no objection certificate must be submitted. The following documents are essential for the Visa on arrival. Foreigners who are traveling to Malaysia to obtain a visa on arrival must apply. 

  • Visa from Singapore, Indonesia or Thailand 
  • Proof of finances 
  • A return ticket to the home country
  • Passport with 6 months validity 
  • Proof of confirmed hotel book/accommodation in Malaysia

What are the Entry Requirements for Malaysia?

The entry requirements for Malaysia are as follows. Applicants from a country eligible for online visa application can attach these documents online. 

  • Possess a visa (if coming from a country that requires a visa to enter Malaysia)
  • Must have a passport, and return ticket to the home country
  • Proof of funds, and an arrival/departure card at the Malaysian entry point
  • Pass (Employment pass, student pass) for long-term visit. The pass must have been given by the e Immigration Department of Malaysia.

What is the Malaysia Visa Waiver Program for Indians?

Starting from January 2024, the visa is waived for Indian citizens. It means the Indian passport holders traveling to Malaysia from from 1 December 2023 until 31 December 2024 are eligible for visa-free entry. Stay is permitted for 30 days without a Malaysian visa. However, Indian passport holders must fulfill the latest Malaysia Visa Requirements to be eligible. 

  • Must have a passport with at least 6 months validity period 
  • Must have confirmed return fight tickets
  • Must have already booked the hotels for the stay
  • Additionally, the applicant must have sufficient funds to stay in Malaysia
