Denmark Job seeker visa is available to applicants holding a residence permit under the following schemes/work visas:

The conditions for obtaining a Denmark Job Seeker Visa for employees are as follows:
- You must have lost your job due to no fault of yours
- You must apply for a job seeker visa within 2 days after the termination of your employment.
- Submit the ‘letter of dismissal’ and other documents to demonstrate the reason for unemployment.
- Pay the visa application fee
- Be able to financially support yourself. You must also not receive any social security benefits.

Denmark Job Seeker Visa for Educational Purpsoe
Those who have completed higher education in Denmark or have a PhD degree can apply for the job seeker permit. This permit is given either for 6 months or for 3 years. During this time you can seek employment.
After completing your studies in Denmark you must receive a residence permit extension for seeking jobs. Otherwise, you need to apply for a job seeker visa. The visa grants you the same rights to work as you had earlier on a study residence permit. For example, you can work 90 hours monthly during August, June, and July.
Beyond 6 months or 3 years, a job seeker permit can’t be extended. Therefore, once you get a job apply for a new work permit or residence permit.

The conditions for obtaining a job seeker visa for students are as follows:
- For 6 months: You must have completed your studies from a higher education institution in any of the following levels-Professional bachelor’s degree, Academy Profession (AP) degree, a Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree.
- For 3 years: Must have a valid residence permit based on your course of study. Moreover, there must be less than 4 months for the permit to expire. Furthermore, you must have completed your studies at an approved Danish educational institution. You must have undertaken your studies in a Professional bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or a PhD degree.

Seek Employment in Denmark After Graduation with a Post Study Work Visa
Those who have obtained a Denmark Authorisation can also be given a 6-month permit. During these 6 months, such applicants can look for employment.

How to Apply for a Denmark Job Seeker Visa?

- Visit the SIRI website
- On the front page select the option;’ You want to apply now and go to the study or work authorization page
- However, to receive a job permit as an employee, you need to click on the option ‘your situation is changing’, go to the work page, and click on the employment page option.
- Read the conditions and ensure you meet the same
- Click on the ‘want to apply’ sector and create a case order ID
- Pay the vis application fee, and gather the necessary documents
- Fill out the visa application form and submit the same in the SIRI’s branch offices in Odense, Aarhus, Copenhagen, Aalborg, Sønderborg Esbjerg, or Bornholm.
- Submit the biometric information, and receive an answer regarding the outcome of your application.
