XAT 2024 Analysis and Expected Cut-off: Xavier School of Management successfully conducted the XAT 2024 exam on 7th January 2024 from 2 pm to 5:30 pm. The exam was held in a computer-based test in 80+ cities nationwide. As per several exam analyses, the candidates found the exam to be on the moderately difficult side. XAT 2024: Exam Pattern 🧾

The XAT 2024 exam pattern was quite similar as compared to the paper last year with only one less question in the Decision-making section. The exam paper comprised two time-bound parts with a total of five sections. Here’s what the question paper looked like:

Part 1: 175 Minutes ⏰

✅ Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning: 26 Questions

✅ Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation: 28 Questions

✅ Decision Making: 21 Questions

Part 2: 30 Minutes ⏰

✅ GK: 25 Questions

✅ Essay Writing: Choose any one topic from 3 questions

XAT 2024 Analysis: Section-Wise 🔍

Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning 💡

The Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning section followed the same pattern as last year. This section comprised 26 questions which were divided into Reading Comprehension (RC).

However, para jumble questions replaced the para completion this year.

The questions in this section were on the side of easy to moderate.

Decision Making ⚖️

This year, in the decision-making section, the number of questions was reduced from 22 to 21. Instead, there were 7 sets of 3 questions each. Each question was worth 3 marks totalling 21 marks.

The few sets in this section were slightly on the lengthy side. 

Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation 🔢

This year, there were 4 sets of Data Interpretation as compared to last year when there was only 1 set. This section included questions on topics like,

• Linear Equations,
• Geometry,
• Profit and loss,
• Data Sufficiency,
• Time, speed and distance,
• Number systems,
• Polynomials,
• Logarithms,
• Arithmetic progression and several others.

The section was a bit on the difficult side.  

General Knowledge 🧠

As expected, the General Knowledge section comprised of 25 questions. Below is the breakup of this section.

Essay Writing ✍️

As mentioned above, in the essay-writing sections, the candidates got three choices out of which they had any one topic to write on. 

It is said that the essay writing section of the XAT 2024 paper is Easy.

XAT 2024 Expected Cut-Off Percentile

The Xavier School of Management announces category-wise cut-off along with the final results. The final result is expected to come out on 31st January 2024. For all those who don’t know, the XAT cut-off is determined by several factors including:

• Number of seats that were there for the XAT 2024 exam.
• The difficulty level of the exam.
