Jagiellonian University

Having been established in 1364 and carrying the honour of being one of the oldest universities in Poland as well as across Europe, the Jagiellonian University earlier supported only faculties of Liberal Arts, Medicine and Law. Sporting a multicultural campus, it has been a centre for higher education, research and learning for not only the Polish community but also Dutch, Italians, French, English and Egyptians, Indians and central American communities.

At present, it houses 41,661 students in close to 100 diverse areas of study offered through 16 specialised facilities, namely, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of International and Political Studies and Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science, among others. Jagiellonian University, to encourage information mobility, has entered into numerous international agreements including but not limited to Erasmus Exchange Programme, COIMBRA of which Trinity College Dublin, UK, KU Leuven, Belgium and University of Groningen, The Netherlands are members and the European University Association.

University of Warsaw
