History, Affiliations and Rankings

Trebas Institute was founded in 1979 to meet the demands of the entertainment business by providing experienced and adaptable studio recording experts, event planners, and event and venue managers to the music and entertainment industries. The Institute's aim is to ensure that Quebec's and Canada's entertainment industries develop and prosper in the future. NACC (National Association of Career Colleges), Ontario Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (MTCU), Quebec Ministry of Education/Ministry of Higher Education (MES), EduCanada, Yorkville University, and CIIS are all associated with the university. The university is ranked #12231 in the world, 3060 in the continental ranking, and 199 in the country ranking, according to the Webometrics ranking release.

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

Trebas Institute is divided into two campuses: one in Montreal and the other in Toronto. Both campuses are in the heart of the cities and provide a wide range of programs in a variety of fields. Through its training programs in technology, business management, music, cinema, and the entertainment sectors, the Institution has provided valuable and good assistance. Students receive a personalized experience because classrooms are intentionally maintained small (student-to-faculty ratios are 25:1 for theory lectures and 3-12:1 for practical lessons).

Accomplishments and Alumni

The university programs are taught by well-known instructors and supported by industry specialists, ensuring that students are up to date on industry trends and have a competitive advantage after graduation. Everything they do is geared to students' success, with diversity, excellence, and innovation at its core. The only program of its kind in the province of Quebec is the Music Business Administration program. At events such as the Cannes Film Festival Student Internship Program, Canadian Music Week, and Gala-ADISQ, the university has several industry specialists. Mike Piersante, a Grammy Award-winning music producer; Jeremy Harding (from Sean Paul's 2009 album, Imperial Blaze); Megadeth singer and guitarist Dave Mustaine; and Dominique de Witte, a French singer, composer, and producer, are also among the Trebas notable alumni.

Student Diversity and Visiting Companies

As a Trebas student, students will have a lot of opportunities for their future careers in the entertainment industry. They have a specialized Careers Services Team in place to help students' ambitions by providing expert guidance and advice on how to attain their goals. They can also assist with obtaining internships in order to strengthen professional relationships. Many of the former students have gone on to work for TV/film businesses, sound system firms, other media outlets, and other companies all around the world.
