The New York Film Academy (NYFA) was created in 1992 by Jerry Sherlock, a former film, television, and theatre producer. It soon rose to prominence as one of the country's top film schools. It was originally located at the Tribeca Film Center and then shifted to 17 Battery Place. It was founded on the principle of learning by doing. New York Film Academy is connected with and has been honored by a number of notable organizations as a worldwide institution for the study and practice of the performing and visual arts like the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) has institutionally recognized the New York Film Academy and it is listed for accreditation status on the Council for Higher Education Authority's database (CHEA). The Australian Skills Quality Authority has approved and recognized the school (ASQA). Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
The New York Film Academy is really a worldwide film school, with campuses across the world where students may study filmmaking, acting, and more.
