The specific program, which is provided in one of the most critical regions of climate change in the world, focuses on the cultural, societal, and different political aspects of the consequences of climate change.

The Lowy International School at Tel Aviv University stated that they are super excited about introducing a brand new master’s program for both domestic as well as international students, which will be known as Social and Policy Aspects of Climate Change. 

This one-year program will have three semesters as per the MA program. This is the very first MA program from the Faculty of Social Sciences with a primary focus on addressing climate change. 

Apart from being the first MA program provided by any Middle Eastern University, this is also one of only a couple of social science programs that would focus on addressing the consequences of social sciences. 

The Pioneer Graduate Program will be taught in English. This program will undoubtedly prove an innovative and effective approach to climate learning and research. 

The professors of the Pioneering Graduate Program will come from numerous backgrounds such as geophysics, sociology, anthropology, public policy, law, political ecology, national security, and urban studies. 

What to Know about Pioneering Graduate Program

The MA program of the TAU in Social and Policy Aspects of Climate Change has been introduced at a perfect time when the Middle East is becoming the limelight of the world from the perspective of climate change. 

IN 2022 when the annual meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change was held in Egypt, more than 100 heads of different states, as well as 35,000 people, joined together. 

Israel, regarded as one of the best cutting-edge and technologically advanced countries in terms of clean energy and water, has chosen a position through which it can develop a significant impact on the overall climate-changing concerns of the region. 

The country has also created a new pact with other neighbouring countries to combat the consequences of climate change.
