The programme launched a special work permit for foreign workers who have obtained an H-1B visa in the USA. The number is 600,000 coming mostly from India and China. Also, the program’s 10,000 quota was filled on the first day of the week as per the Canadian Immigration Minister.

As per Fraser, Immigration Minister, the H1-B visa has a unique feature built into it. If you don’t find alternative arrangements for work within 60 days you are not permitted to remain in the USA.

Additionally, the H-1B visa programme allows US companies to employ foreign workers in sectors like engineering, technology, and medicine. The visa is usually issued for three years and is renewable.

For instance, they have 60 days to locate a job and be sponsored if they are dismissed or laid off from the US employer that sponsored them.
