IELTS slot booking or registration can be completed online or in person. This means that you have the option to book your test online or visit your nearest IDP branch. Now, those who wish to register for their IELTS online must adhere to the following steps.
- Visit the IELTS website and select the “Register for IELTS” option.
- Choose your preferred test format: computer-delivered or paper-based (options include IELTS, IELTS for UKVI, or Life Skills).
- Carefully select the test module: Academic or General Training for IELTS, IELTS for UKVI, or A1 and B1 for Life Skills.
- Pick your desired test centre city from the available locations in India.
- After selecting your preferences, a list of available test dates will appear. Choose your preferred date and time slot.
- Complete the online application by filling in the required details. Don’t forget to upload a clear, scanned colour copy of your passport.
- Finally, proceed to pay the test fee.
Upon booking your test date, you’ll receive confirmation via your registered email or phone number. For paper-based IELTS only, you can schedule your Speaking test slot online at your preferred date and time. If you don’t choose a slot within the given timeframe, one will be assigned automatically.
