It is important to ensure that you only study at an NMC-approved medical college in Uzbekistan.. To confirm if a college is approved by NMC, follow the steps below:
- Visit the official NMC website and navigate to the ‘Information Desk’. Click on this tab on the homepage.
- Next, select the college and course search. This will allow you to access a list of the recognized universities.

- Ensure that the college appears in the list with the status marked as ‘Recognised’.
- Thereafter, make sure that the college’s recognition is mentioned in official NMC documents or notifications.
NMC Guidelines for MBBS Abroad
The NMC has set guidelines for MBBS students wanting to study abroad. These are the things you need to keep in mind as an international student
- Must clear National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) before enrolling in a university abroad.
- The duration of the course must be at least 4.5 years or 54 months, excluding the time for internship.
- The classes must be taught in English.
- Additionally, you need to complete a 12-month internship at the same university
- Graduates must pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) or the National Exit Test (NEXT) to practice in India.
