Astro 3D Science PhB Advanced Studies Course Award: Eligibility and Benefits

Every year, the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA) under the Australian National University College of Science offers financial support to Science PhB students in ASTRO 3D student research projects.

Eligibility 📌

Below, we have mentioned the eligibility for this scholarship. Only eligible students will get this financial aid. Check the eligibility criteria below:

• No barrier on nationality. Domestic and international students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
• Intending to carry out a research study job within the Advanced Studies Course.
• Under the supervision of the RSAA ASTRO 3D Center of Excellence Director or any of the RSAA ASTRO 3D Chief Investigators, RSAA ASTRO 3D Associate Investigators, or RSAA ASTRO 3D Postdoctoral Fellows.
• Approval as a suitable student research project fitting into the ASTRO 3D research framework by the research project supervisor and other authorities is mandatory.
• Students who are enrolled in Advanced Studies Course as part of their Bachelor of Philosophy. Field of study should be astronomy & astrophysics.

Note- Advanced Studies Course (SCNC2101, SCNC2102, SCNC2103, SCNC2104, SCNC3101, SCNC3102)

How to Apply? 💻

The deadline for the Astro 3D Science PhB Advanced Studies Course Award application is the Monday of the 3rd week of semesters 1 & 2. Applicants need to write an email with the information mentioned below to the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics.

1. Declaration that students wish to be considered for the Award using the application form at the “Apply Now” link
2. ASTRO 3D project proposal
3. A short CV (1-page) that includes contact details for the ASTRO 3D research project supervisor.
4. A copy of their current ANU transcript or Statement of Results from ISIS;

Applicants need to connect with two referees and provide them with the referee form template to submit. The ASTRO 3D research project supervisor can be a referee. They must send completed forms directly to Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics.
