- Shailaputri: On the first day, Goddess Shailaputri is worshipped. She is the daughter of the Himalayas, and she represents the embodiment of the power of the mountains.
2. Brahmacharini: The second day is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini. She is the ascetic form of the Goddess, symbolizing self-control and penance.
3. Chandraghanta: On the third day, Chandraghanta is worshipped. She is depicted with a crescent moon on her forehead and is a symbol of bravery as she is known as the destroyer of demons.
4. Kushmanda: The fourth day is dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda. She is believed to have created the universe with her divine smile.
5. Skandamata: On the fifth day, Skandamata is revered. She is the mother of Lord Kartikeya (Skanda) and is a symbol of motherly love and protection.
6. Katyayani: The sixth day is devoted to Goddess Katyayani, who is a fierce form of Durga and is associated with courage and strength.
7. Kalaratri: On the seventh day, Kalaratri is worshipped. She is the most ferocious form of the Goddess, representing the dark and destructive side of nature. She is also known as the goddess of courage.
8. Mahagauri: The eighth day is dedicated to Mahagauri, the Goddess of beauty, purity and peace. She is depicted in white attire.
9. Siddhidatri: On the ninth and final day of Navratri, Siddhidatri is worshipped. She is the bestower of Siddhis (spiritual powers) and is believed to provide blessings to her devotees.
