Dear Shweta,
How are you? I hope everything is well on your end. I just got back from my village a week ago and will tell you about my experience. The trip was amazing and full of insights. This year, I decided to visit my native village alone after completing my final examination. I booked my bus tickets and stepped off with the familiar smells of my village after a 6-hour, tiring journey. The air was thick with the aroma of fresh fruits and beautiful flowers spread all over the large field on the roadside.

I made my way to my native village in a colourful rickshaw, taking a glimpse of all the sights. After keeping my luggage at home and meeting my parents, I made my way through the village. While exploring the place, I greeted the people with a smile and got several invitations to join their families for meals.

After spending hours in the winding streets, I ate the delicious local delicacies from the roadside stalls. They made me feel refreshed and gave me a glimpse of what I miss about the city. Later in the evening, the village came alive with traditional music and dance. I sat with the elders and listened to their stories of the events that happened in the past few years. The whole scenario was peaceful and overwhelming, which cannot be found in the busy city life we are used to.

I wish you could have been there to experience it all with me, Shweta. I have come back feeling refreshed and reconnected to my roots again. I cannot wait to visit my native village soon and show you around my beloved village.
With lots of love,
Siddhi

Dear Irfan,
I just got back from my native village, and I had to write and describe it to you. The trip was amazing, with beautiful insights, sounds, experiences, and everything else. We visited our village by bus. The idea behind this was to enjoy the rolling down of familiar roads and passing down the old landmarks that I remembered from my childhood. As we reached my hometown, a sense of nostalgia washed over me, and I pressed my face against the window and eagerly scanned the streets for any signs of change. On reaching our station, I grabbed my bags and stepped out into the refreshing air. The village looked much the same as I remembered at my young age, with the mud house, woody smoke, and freshly fallen leaves, fruits, and flowers.

While reaching my native place, I met many of my old friends whom I had not seen in years. They greeted me with a hug and asked about my life and how long I planned to stay at home. Meanwhile, I loved to reconnect with these familiar faces and hear the latest gossip about the village.

In my home, I joined my family for the deciduous home-cooked meals prepared by my mother. While sitting around the table and talking about the good old days, do not forget to fuss over me and make sure that I have enough to eat.  After staying in my hometown for a week, I packed up to head home with mixed feelings about not leaving the warmth of my native village. But with a promise to return soon and reconnect with the people and the place, I waved goodbye to the place.

With lots of hugs and love,
Itisha
