Union Government Approves IIM Proposal in Assam’s Kamrup: Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Sunday that the Central Government has given a ‘green signal’ for setting up an Indian Institution of Management in Kamrup, Assam. Currently, there are 21 IIMs, of which, only 1 is located in the North East region; IIM Shillong.
