CBSE Guidelines for Board Exam 2024: Students appearing for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams must reach their respective exam centres by 10:00 am. A majority of the Class 10 and 12 papers begin at 10:30 am and end at 1:30 pm. However, some papers might end at 12:30 pm. Here are CBSE guidelines for Board Exam 2024 for students to maintain decorum at the exam centre and inside the exam hall. Let us have a look.

Do’s 

  • Students must reach the designated exam centre before the starting time of the paper.
  • They need to carry their CBSE admit card, ID card of the school, and other mandatory documents mentioned in the admit card.
  • Also, they must wear modest and comfortable clothes to the exam centre.
  • Candidates have to carry a black or blue ballpoint pen, an eraser, and a pencil.
  • Further, students can carry a watch. The watch must be without a calculator.
  • Besides, candidates can carry a transparent water bottle only.
  • Moreover, students must read the instructions carefully and answer the questions as per the CBSE guidelines.
  • Lastly, students must keep their calm and focused while answering the questions.

Don’ts

  • Students are barred from carrying electronic devices like smartwatches, calculators, and mobile phones inside the examination hall.
  • Also, they are not permitted to take textbooks, notebooks, guidebooks, or any other academic materials into the examination hall.
  • Further, students must avoid talking to other students after receiving the question paper.
  • In addition, abstain from cheating in the exam to avoid any repercussions. 
  • Moreover, candidates should not write anything on the question paper.
