Latest Update on CBSE Evaluation: Sanyam Bharadwaj, Controller of the CBSE Exam, announced that no division or distinction will be awarded to the Class 10 and 12 board exams from 2024 onwards. Further, the Controller also declared that the higher education institutions will have the liberty to select the best five subjects while calculating the percentage of applicants enrolling in courses after the 10th and 12th.

This release came in response to inquiries from numerous people seeking clarification on the method to be used to determine the percentage of students in CBSE board examinations. The roots of this new CBSE evaluation system were laid down in 2023 itself as it did not issue a merit list or toppers list.

The intent behind abstaining from publishing merit and toppers lists was to prevent unhealthy competition among students.
