IIT Tirupati Navavishkar I-HUB Foundation (IITTNiF) offers the IITTNiF CHANAKYA – Undergraduate Fellowship. This IIT scholarship is created for students who are studying in their 5th and 7th semester of BTech/BE/BSc or any equivalent course. This initiative awards a monthly stipend of INR 12,400 to the selected candidates.

Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarships

All the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) award the Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarships. These awards are given to 25% of undergraduate students enrolled in the institute for each academic year. The MCM scholarship is available for students pursuing a BTech dual degree program. Students who show commendable academic performance in the preceding academic year become eligible to receive this IIT scholarship. The JEE-AIR score is one of the criteria for selection. Moreover, the annual income of the student’s parents should not be more than INR 5 lakhs.

IIT Kanpur – Anil and Reshma Nigam Scholarship

The Anil and Reshma Nigam scholarship is among the donor scholarships offered at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.   1. It is good to hear that everyone is thinking about scholarship for best students. But scholarships should be offered on the basis of academics only and not by income.
    At the time of admission,students having their family income less than 8 lakhs have already taken benifits of fees in EWS quota. So why the students family income is mandatorily below 5 lakhs?
    Scholarship at UG level should be on the basis of academics only not on income basis.
    it is my humble request to think on this because after getting scholarship students inspire and they perform better in next coming years and this is very important for betterment of our country’s progress.

      1]Merit based scholarships: Several universities offer this scholarship to students only on the basis of academic performance. A few merit based scholarship also look at the extracurricular activities undertaken by the student.
      2]Need based scholarships: The need based scholarships are given on the basis of financial need. The scholarships that you are mentioning for students who cannot afford education, Hence, the income bracket.
      3] Scholarships for extracurricular activities: These scholarships are given for students who excel in sports activity.

      Almost all scholarships are divided into these categories. If you are interested in merit based scholarship, you can official website of the university you want to enrol in. If there is a merit based scholarship listed you must meet the eligibility requirements of the same, provide relevant documentation, and apply before the deadline.
