Eligibility Criteria
There are certain requirements that students need to fulfil to be considered eligible for the scholarship. Let’s have a look at the eligibility criteria for the HPCL Scholarship:
- The scheme is open to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories who have passed the HSC (Standard XII examination) with a minimum of 45% marks in the academic year.
- Eligible students must have secured admission to a degree course in the subsequent academic year.
- For 2nd and 3rd-year graduation students, the marks obtained in the previous academic year will be considered for eligibility.
- A Bonafide Certificate from the Dean/Principal/HOD of the course is required to certify the admission to the degree course.
- SC/ST/OBC students need to provide their caste certificate (with Non-creamy layer Clause for OBC), while Persons with Disabilities (PWD) must submit a disabilities certificate from a competent authority (minimum 40% disabilities).
- The annual family income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakhs per annum to be eligible for the scholarship.
- The scholarship amount will be disbursed through a cheque in the name of the student and will only be handed over to the beneficiary.
- Beneficiary students must have a bank account to receive the scholarship payment.
How to Apply and Last Date
The last date to apply for the HPCL Scholarship will be released on the official website of the University of Delhi. The application process for the HPCL Scholarship usually begins in August every year.
