HPCL Scholarship: Overview
The HPCL Scholarship is awarded to students in the category of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Persons with Disabilities. The scholarship gives support for their education from school level to professional courses.
To encourage the students for continued improvements in their academic studies, the scholarship is granted to these categories.
The company has consistently aimed to set a benchmark of excellence and be a driving force for positive change in all its endeavours. The corporation has now launched its HPCL Scholarship scheme that aims to provide financial assistance to SC/ST/OBC, and PWD students.

The HPCL Scholarship program is designed to offer educational support to students from SC/ST/OBC, and PWD categories, encouraging them to excel in their academic pursuits.

To motivate students to make sustained progress in their academic pursuits, the scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria:

There are certain requirements that students need to fulfil to be considered eligible for the scholarship. Let’s have a look at the eligibility criteria for the HPCL Scholarship:
- The scheme is open to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories who have passed the HSC (Standard XII examination) with a minimum of 45% marks in the academic year.
- Eligible students must have secured admission to a degree course in the subsequent academic year.
- For 2nd and 3rd-year graduation students, the marks obtained in the previous academic year will be considered for eligibility.
- A Bonafide Certificate from the Dean/Principal/HOD of the course is required to certify the admission to the degree course.
- SC/ST/OBC students need to provide their caste certificate (with Non-creamy layer Clause for OBC), while Persons with Disabilities (PWD) must submit a disabilities certificate from a competent authority (minimum 40% disabilities).
- The annual family income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakhs per annum to be eligible for the scholarship.
- The scholarship amount will be disbursed through a cheque in the name of the student and will only be handed over to the beneficiary.
- Beneficiary students must have a bank account to receive the scholarship payment.

How to Apply and Last Date
The last date to apply for the HPCL Scholarship will be released on the official website of the University of Delhi. The application process for the HPCL Scholarship usually begins in August every year.
Students who meet the eligibility criteria are required to submit the scholarship form along with necessary attachments to the college/university authority.
The duly filled and completed forms will then be forwarded to HPCL for thorough examination and further processing.

Ans. Have a look at the scholarship amounts offered by the HPCL:
For marks above 50% and up to 65%: INR 5,300 per annum.
For marks above 65% and up to 85%: INR 5,900 per annum.
For marks above 85% and up to 100%: INR 6,500 per annum.
The scholarship amount is INR 4,800 per annum for a score of 45% to 50%.
For PWD Candidates, the scholarship amount is INR 6,500 per annum. The minimum score criteria are not applicable to this category.
