What is X-GMT?

The X-GMT Exam is the Xavier’s Management Aptitude Test or XIM Management Aptitude Test conducted by Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar. The objective of the exam is to analyse examinees for their aptitude in Management. The exam is considered by various universities and organisations for admission. 

Is X-GMT tough?

The difficulty level of the X-GMT Question paper is considered to be moderate to tough. The candidates can crack the examination on the first attempt through proper preparation and practice of sample papers and the previous year’s question papers. 

Is XGMT easier than XAT?

X-GMT and XAT have very different examination patterns, XAT is for a longer duration (3 hours) and has more questions and a negative marking of -¼ whereas X-GMT has an exam duration of 2 hours with 100-130 questions with a negative marking of -⅓. Though the syllabus is the same, it is difficult to compare the two exams. However, if one looks at it in a particular way the XAT exam is longer, has more questions and thus requires more preparation than X-GMT.

What is the last date to apply for XGMT 2023?

The last date to apply for the X-GMT Exam in 2023 was the 10th of January 2023. The registrations began in September 2022 and were expected to end on the 09th of December 2023. The deadline was later shifted to the 20th of December 2023 and 28 December 2023. The final deadline for entry through X-GMT was the 10th of January 2023 and the deadline for entry through other management entrance exams was on the 20th of January 2023

What is the date for XGMT Exam 2023?

The X-GMT Exam Date 2023 was on the 29th of December 2023. A lot of students appeared for the examination on the last Sunday of January 2023. The exam was conducted in 2-time slots at various examination centres throughout the country on this single day. Is XGMT Admit Card released?

How to apply for X-GMT?

To apply for the X-GMT Examination the candidate needs to register on the XIM website as a new user. Then login to the dashboard through the X-GMT Exam login credentials and fill out the complete application form with details and documents. The candidate then has to pay the examination fee and submit the form after saving a copy. 

What are the fees for X-GMT exam form?

The X-GMT exam form fee is INR 1,600 for every candidate to apply for one MBA specialisation. To add courses after this, an additional fee of INR 400 per course will have to be submitted by the candidate. Those who have to give the Written Ability Test (WAT) will have to pay INR 1,200 for the exam application form. 

What Documents are required for the XGMT Application Process?

The various documents required for the XGMT Application Process are as follows. 1. Photo ID Proof of the applicant. 2. Scanned copy of Photograph and Signature. 3. Experience Certificate(if any). 4. Does XGMT accept CAT Scores?

Yes, X-GMT does accept CAT scores among other scores like the XAT, GMAT and NMAT. GATE Scores are also accepted in some cases. There are different cutoff scores that will be released by the university for each entrance exam type. Students who clear the cutoff will be called for further process of WAT, GD, PI and then counselling. 

How can I apply for X-GMT through XAT Scores?

To be eligible for entry through other scores the candidates will have to first complete the application details as every other candidate appearing through X-GMT or other exams. Then after the results for X-GMT are also out XIM releases a cutoff list for various exams through which it allows passage into its MBA Programs. The expected cutoff for XAT this year is 88. The candidates have to submit their scorecards and appear for the next round of admission accordingly. 

What are the requirements for X-GMT Exam?

To appear for the X-GMT Exam the candidates must have a 3-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution. The students appearing for the exam are required to have attained at least 55% marks in their graduation. Candidates appearing for the graduation final year exam in the same year can also apply on the condition that they will be able to produce their graduation mark sheets at the time of admission.

What is the exam pattern of X-GMT 2023?

X-GMT is a computer-based test organised by the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar. The exam is conducted in the English language for a duration of 120 minutes. The whole exam has 4 sections all of which have MCQ questions related to Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Emotional Quotient & General Awareness and Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. Does XGMT have a negative marking?

Yes, X-GMT also has a negative marking. The negative marking for each wrong answer is -⅓  of the marks that the question carries. Which equals to deduction of 1 mark for every wrong answer. 

How many questions are there in XGMT Exam?

The number of questions in the XGMT Exam varies based on the setting of the exam paper. The number of questions can be somewhere between 100 to 130. All the questions in various sections of the examination are Multiple Choice Questions. 

What is the Marking scheme for the XGMT Exam 2023?

The marking scheme of the X-GMT Exam is based on a negative marking pattern. Each question carries 3 marks which are offered if the question is answered correctly, in case the question is unanswered the marks awarded are 0. However, for each wrong answer, the candidate will lose 1 mark. All questions that are deleted after contesting the answer key will be marked 0 and the debatable questions can also be marked 0 until resolved.

What is the XGMT Result cutoff 2023?

The XGMT Result cutoff has not been released yet. The anticipated cutoff scores through various exam scores are mentioned hereunder in the percentile form. Then there are WAT, GD and PI rounds for the entry after which the candidates are invited based on a cumulative score. Students who have topped their institutions with 1st, 2nd or 3rd rank can apply without any entrance exam and directly come for WAT, GD &PI rounds. 

Is it necessary to give X-GMT Exam for admission at the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar?
