Types of TTP
There are two types of TTP:
Acquired TTP: This is the most common type of disorder, It is caused by an autoimmune disorder, in which the body’s own immune system attacks and destroys ADAMTS13 proteins.
Congenital TTP: It is a rare type of TTP that is caused by a genetic mutation that prevents the body from making ADAMTS13 proteins.
