Westcliff University was founded to provide a high-quality education to individuals interested in careers in business and education. The university's intention to purchase Western State College of Law and convert it to a for-profit institution was allowed by a federal court in 2019. The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education approved Westcliff in 1993, and it is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) has given it global accreditation. In the 2021 Impact Rankings, Westcliff University ranks among 601-800 overall, including 1,117 universities from 94 countries/regions. Its Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) ranked #6 among the 15 Most Affordable DBA Programs With No GMAT Requirement Online 2020.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
In 2018, the university relocated to a new campus in Irvine, California's Von Karman Creative Campus neighbourhood. The new structure increased the university's campus size by more than fourfold over the previous one. Westcliff has four colleges: Business, Education, Technology and Engineering, and Western State College of Law. It offers graduate and undergraduate certificates and degrees that are designed to equip students for quick admission and success in their chosen fields. While some colleges solely teach theoretical concepts, Westcliff University's programmes equip students for both practical and theoretical aspects of today's employment environment. Full-time working students can enrol in 100% online courses or take classes on-site at Westcliff University's campuses in picturesque Southern California.
Accomplishments and Alumni
The university was included in the Orange County Business Journal's list of the 500. They are ranked number one among the best graduate marketing programmes in the country. The university complies with all of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, and the Times Higher Education's impact rankings have recognised it internationally. The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global rankings that compare universities to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The accomplishments of the university are numerous. It boasts a prestigious alumni network with tens of thousands of members from all around the world. George GascĂłn, the District Attorney of Los Angeles County, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, a Vietnamese-American musician, and Chris Jacobs, a television host, are among the prominent alumni.

Westcliff is a worldwide recognized university with students from 87 different countries. The university has a total of 3,168 students enrolled. The university's enrolment rate has increased by 22 per cent. Westcliff has an 83 per cent undergraduate graduation rate and an 81 per cent student retention rate. The institution encourages students to participate in internships and career fairs throughout the semester. Amazon, Medtronic, CloudFactory, Apple, and Qualcomm are among the top employers of university graduates.
