Working in Denmark Just Got Easier. Work Without Residence or Job Permit With These Industries

If you have still not decided on your destination to work abroad, Denmark might be your best option. The country is allowing international candidates to work for 15 to 90 days without work and resident permits. The duration of work is based on your field of work.

On the 17th of November 2023, these new rules came into effect. Foreigners were exempted from work and residence permits to work for short durations with the affiliated companies in Denmark. However, a company anywhere in the world that you are working for must have an affiliation with a company established in Denmark, and it must have no less than 50 employees.

Duration of Work Allowed Under the New Rule

It depends on the type of job you are pursuing. You are given a period of 180 days in which you can go and work in Denmark for two work sessions. Each work session can be of maximum 15 working days.

Also, the two sessions need to have a difference of at least 14 days in between. Apart from that, for employees who are members of a board, the period of exemption of work permit is 40 days. Similarly, the exemption for special work assignments is upto 90 days.

Denmark also allows guest teachers entering for lectures to work for 5 days. Nevertheless, the institution they are working for must be under the Ministry of Higher Education and Science or the Ministry of Culture. Moreover, event organizers will exempt artists, musicians, and performers who are crucial for an event from the permit.

What’s the Benefit?

Candidates will not be required to pay the fee for work permit or residence permit multiple times as they enter Denmark. Moreover, the process will be more hassle-free than before if things work out on visa itself.

Apart from these obvious benefits, it will be more feasible for employees to come and gain international working experience. Thus, by working on short projects you can improve your job profile.

The most important future aspect of working in Denmark is to build networking with people, organisations and institutes. They see your work and expertise which can help you grow a full-fledged international career if you match the requirements.

Therefore, if your organisation falls under this category try working on international mobility projects with companies in Denmark and boost your work profile. If you want to read more such exciting information, make sure you follow Leverage Edu News Updates.
