Brainstorming Ideas

Refer below to go through the brainstorming ideas.

  • I think that one should prioritise completing the most difficult assignments first because it allows you to approach that task with a fresh mind and full concentration.
  • It gives you a sense of accomplishment and will keep you motivated.
  • It can even help you with effective time management.
  • Other options can either act as a distraction and create a feeling of dependency or they don’t take into account the varying complexity and time requirements of different assignments.

Q. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. Do not use memorized examples.

Ans. When having a lot of homework assignments, the most effective strategy to navigate through this is to prioritise the completion of the most difficult assignments first. This approach is also known as the “Eat that Frog” method and has several advantages.

Firstly, tackling the most challenging task first allows you to approach that task with a fresh mind and full concentration. This is beneficial for complex assignments where a lot of critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.  For example, if you have a challenging math problem to solve, then it would be effective if you try to work through it in the beginning when your mental energy is at its peak. Secondly, completing the most difficult assignments first will give you a sense of accomplishment and will keep you motivated with the rest of your tasks. For example, after successfully completing a complex essay, it may seem easier for you to tackle the remaining tasks such as reading assignments or much simpler worksheets.

Thirdly, this strategy helps in effective time management. Difficult tasks generally take more time, so by doing them first, you will be able to ensure that you have sufficient time to complete them. If you leave them by the end, there is a high chance that you might run out of time and end up rushing through them, which will then compromise the quality of your work. All of the other tasks mentioned above, such as completing assignments with other members are not that great. The reason is that it might lead to distractions and dependency on others to understand things. Moreover, coordinating schedules can be a challenge making this strategy less feasible for everyone. As for the other strategy where you set aside two hours daily to tackle all assignments, it brings discipline but does not take into account the varying complexity and time requirements of different assignments. You might end up spending a lot of time on simpler tasks, leaving little time for the more challenging ones.

To conclude, while all other strategies have some merits, prioritising the most difficult task first is the most effective one when dealing with a lot of homework. It ensures minimal use of mental energy, provides motivation and helps in time management.
