The eligibility for these scholarships depends on the course the student is applying for, the citizenship status, and the academic achievement of the student. The University of Portsmouth International scholarships mainly provide tuition fee discounts to the beneficiaries. However, the amount of tuition fee discount can vary depending on the scholarship type. Moreover, some scholarships require an application, and others do not. January 2024 Faculty Scholarship

The January 2024 Faculty Scholarship is available to Indian students for the January intake. The scholarship offers a tuition fee discount of t £3,000. However, it will only be applicable to the first year of study. Self-funded students pursuing courses such as MSc Project Management, MSc International Business Management, MSc Medical Biotechnology, and MSc Biotechnology can access the scholarship. No application is necessary. 

Vice Chancellor’s Global Development Scholarship

The Vice Chancellor’s Global Development Scholarship is available to students from eligible countries (For example, India) for the January intake. The scholarship offers a benefit of £1,600 as a fee reduction. The scholarships are available to self-funding students applying for an undergraduate, postgraduate research, or postgraduate-taught course for January 2024 entry.

Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship

Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship is another scholarship available to Indian students for the January intake. The scholarship benefit is a tuition fee discount of £3,000 towards the 1st year of study. The scholarship is available to self-funding students whose annual tuition fee is £17,200, or above.  However, for the scholarship consideration, an application is necessary.
