UAE’s Golden Visa is granted to people that have extraordinary talent, including scientists and specialists, real estate investors, investors in public investments, entrepreneurs, graduates of accredited institutions in UAE, graduates of accredited universities outside the country, top school achievers and workers in the first line of defence.

The visa allows foreigners to sponsor their family members without any age restrictions. Along with that, there is no restriction on the maximum stay outside UAE. The minimum monthly income was also reduced by the authorities. The income required to apply for the Visa is now reduced from AED 50,000(INR 11,14,204) to AED 30,000(6,68,616). This step is taken to expand the eligibility to more skilled professionals.

When the Golden Visa applicants apply for the entry permit they have to submit several documents. These include the passport of the applicant, a coloured personal photograph and proof of eligibility for the visa. Last week only the authorities announced the ‘One Touch Golden Visa Service’ application. This platform complements the government’s digital transformation. The government launched the Golden Visa programme in 2021. The government of the UAE has made its visa policies more flexible over the years. The new system aims to attract and retain global talents and skilled workers from around the world. This will help in boosting the country’s flexibility and competitiveness in the global job market.
