In order to enhance cultural exchanges and tourism Iran has announced a visa-free policy for Indians to enhance cultural exchanges and tourism from 4th February 2024 to enhance cultural exchanges and tourism. This visa exemption has been extended to 33 countries including Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, and Brazil. This visa policy is specially for the Indians for tourism purposes.
New Rules for 2024 in Canada for International Students
As per the new policy, individuals holding new passports can enter Iran without a visa once every six months and stay for a maximum of 15 days per visit, which is not extendable. This visa exemption is only for travel therefore, individuals traveling to Iran through other modes of transport are subject to visa requirements.

In addition to this if Indians plan to stay longer than 15 days and make multiple entries within 6 months and require different types of visas then they must get the required visas through the Iranian representations in India.
