Candidates can apply for a short-term study visa to study English Language in the UK. The course for the English language lasts for 6 months to 11 months. The candidates can stay in the UK during their stay plus an extra thirty days but not longer than 11 months. The cost of this type of visa is £200. In addition to the application fees, the candidates are also required to pay the healthcare surcharge fees the cost of which is £470. The payment of these fees will help to use the National Health Service in the UK.

Restrictions of Short-Term Study Visa UK

Check below the restrictions for short-term study visas UK:

  • Candidates cannot study any other course or change their course while they are in the UK
  • They cannot even study at state-funded school
  • With this visa, they cannot work or carry out any business
  • This visa cannot be extended
  • Family members of the students cannot come with them on this visa
  • The individuals can not even apply for most benefits or the State Pension

  • The course should be from an accredited institution
  • They should have enough money to support themselves in the UK
