What are the Different Types of IELTS Life Skill Tests? 

In the context of UK visa and immigration procedures, the test holds particular significance. This assessment is specifically designed to align with UKVI regulations for certain visa classifications and broader immigration objectives. There are different types of tests designed specially for different purposes. Have a look: 

  • IELTS Life Skills A1: Individuals must undertake the A1 test to apply for a ‘family of a settled person’ visa. 
  • IELTS Life Skills B1: Individuals applying for an ‘indefinite leave to remain or citizenship’ visa must sit for the B1 test. 

IELTS Life Skills Result 

The test deviates from a traditional graded format, opting instead for a binary “Pass” or “Fail” outcome. Individuals who successfully qualify for this test are deemed eligible to proceed with a visa application. Test takers are allotted a timeframe of approximately 16 to 22 minutes to complete the various tasks involved.

You can take the test from anywhere in the world. In other words, this test is available throughout the globe. It is to be noted that you have to take the test from a certified UKVI testing location.
