SGI Anniversary Scholarship

The Hot Cake SGI Scholarships in Canada’s SGI anniversary scholarship is available to applicants from July 1 to September 30 each year. The benefit is an amount of CAD 2,500 A total of 4 scholarships are available under this scholarship.

Eligibility

The SGI annual scholarship eligibility requirements are as follows:

• You must be a full-time/part-time student enrolled in an undergraduate diploma, certificate, or degree program in a post-secondary educational institution in Canada.
• Therefore, you must provide a  Registrar’s Office letter to prove that you are a full time student.
• You must demonstrate your academic transcript to prove that you have secured at least 70% in your previous studies 
• This scholarship is available to legal dependents or children (under 25) of an SGI CANADA, Coachman Insurance, or  SGI employee.
• Current employees (CANADA, Coachman Insurance, SGI ), intern/co-opt students, summer student, contingent are ineligible 

Selection Process 

This scholarship selection process is based on a draw. The winners are contacted within 30 days of the application closing date. Those who are not selected will not be contacted.

SGI Corporate Scholarship

The SGI Corporate Scholarship is awarded between  July 1 – September 30 each year. A total of 7 scholarships are available. These Hot Cake SGI Scholarships in Canada are worth CAD 2,500 per award.

Eligibility

The SGI Corporate Scholarship eligibility requirements are as follows:

• Resident of Alberta,  Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Ontario, or Manitoba.
• Legal dependents and current employees (CANADA, Coachman Insurance, SGI ), intern/co-opt students, summer students, and contingent are ineligible 
• You must be a full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate diploma, certificate, or degree program in a post-secondary educational institution in Canada.
• The program must be related to the business needs of SGI Canada (all departments of the organization. For example, business administration, nursing, etc)
• Therefore, you must provide a  Registrar’s Office letter to prove that you are a full time student.
• You must demonstrate your academic transcript to prove that you have secured at least 70% in your previous studies 

Selection Process 

Those who meet the eligibility criteria are entered into a draw. Only winning candidates are contacted.

Harold Johnson Memorial Scholarship

TheHot Cake SGI Scholarships in Canada’s Harold Johnson Memorial Scholarship is available to the leaders of the indigenous community. The deadline for this scholarship is on September 30 every year. The value is CAD 2,500 per year for 4 years. Otherwise, you can receive a scholarship amount of up to 10,000 for the term of the program. Only 1 scholarship is available.

Eligibility

The Harold Johnson Memorial Scholarship eligibility requirements are as follows:

• An applicant of Indigenous ancestry residing in Saskatchewan.
• Be a full-time student enrolled in a recognised post-secondary institution in Canada.
• Submit proof of enrollment for the fall semester of the current academic year.
• Must have secured at least 65% and present proof of the same (academic transcripts)
• Demonstrate similar values and beliefs like Harold R. Johnson,
• Submit 1 letter of recommendation to demonstrate you academic achievement and leadership skills. 
• Submit a 500-word essay explaining how your contributions have made positive change in your community

The selection process is based on the eligibility criteria. It also depends upon your creativity. You will be notified within 45 days of the result. That is, if you are a winner.

Business Insurance Diploma Scholarship

The Hot Cake SGI Scholarships in Canada’s Business Insurance Diploma Scholarship value is CAD 2,500. Four scholarships are available. Saskatchewan Polytechnic sets the deadline.

Eligibility

The Business Insurance Diploma Scholarship eligibility requirements are as follows:

• You must be a full-time student enrolled in a Business Insurance Diploma Program. 
• You must be in the second year and must be studying at the  Saskatchewan Polytechnic Palliser campus.
• Must have secured at least a 70% average score in your 1st year
• Additionally, you need to self-declare as a diversity student for the designated diversity scholarship consideration.

Selection Process 

The selection committee takes into consideration your GPA in all classes required to complete the  Business Certificate. Your financial need is also taken into consideration.

Stan Hamilton Scholarship

Only 1 Stan Hamilton Scholarship is available. The scholarship value is CAD 2,500. The deadline for the award is  October 31.

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility requirements for the Stan Hamilton Scholarship are as follows:

• You must be a full-time student enrolling at the First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv).
• Be First Nation (status or non-status), Metis, or Inuit
• Get enrolled in the last 12 credit hour classes in Faculty of Administration, Administration Qualifying, or in be in the 2nd year of a computer science degree program
• You must also maintain a minimum of 65% average score 
• Demonstrate your extracurricular activities, community contributions, and commitments made in balancing education, work and home responsibilities/

The selection process for the Stan Hamilton Scholarship is not available.

Auto Body Technician Certificate Scholarship

The Body Technician Certificate Scholarship value is an amount of USD 2,500.  This scholarship deadline is set by the Saskatchewan Polytechnic each year.

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility requirements for the scholarship are as follows:

• You must be enrolled in a full-time course (Auto Body Technician Certificate Program). 
• The scholarship is only available to the study at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Wascana Campus the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Kelsey campus or the

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility requirements for the SGI Actuarial Science Scholarship are as follows:

• You must be enrolled at the  University of Regina’s Faculty of Science, actuarial science program. Only 3rd, 4th, and 5th year students are eligible.
• Moreover, you must have completed at least 60 more credit hours studying a Bachelor of Science Degree program with major in Actuarial Science.
• You also must have been enrolled in ASC 116, 216, and 317, or be enrolled in it
• Secure at least 80% average 
• Additionally, you need to stay registered in 12 credit hours (minimum) of a semester when the scholarship is paid

SGI Graduate Research Grant

The SGI Graduate Research Grant is valued at CAD 5,000. The scholarship is given for every academic year. The deadline for this award is on 30th September each year.

Eligibility 

The eligibility criteria for this award are as follows:

• You must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at the University of Regina. 
• Moreover, you must have secured at least a CGPA of 80%
• You need to propose research on traffic safety. The research must include engineering or human factor issues.
• The continuing students at the university must have demonstrated satisfactory achievement in the coursework. Additionally, they must have made progress towards the degree completion.
