Ans: While a degree from a renowned university is indeed important and can help open doors to various opportunities, I do not believe that it is the only requirement for finding lucrative jobs.

Apart from a degree, I think skills and relevant experience are other aspects of grabbing a well-paying job. Recruiters these days value more practical experience and specific skill sets over academic qualifications. For instance, in the tech industry, a self-taught program with a portfolio of projects is as desirable as a computer science graduate. Many famous tech personalities such as Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are Harvard dropouts, yet they build their successful tech empires. Apart from this, soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving are valued by employers. And these skills are often built because of part-time jobs, volunteering, or extra-curricular activities. For example, someone who has led a community service project will have a strong sense of leadership and teamwork skills that are required in every company.

In addition to this, the passion and dedication of employees towards work can’t be measured with a degree. Employers often like to have employees who are willing to go the extra mile for work. All of the successful entrepreneurs of today’s time are driven by passion and dedication which helped them build successful businesses. Furthermore, networking plays a crucial role in job hunting. Building professional relationships with people helps you find more job opportunities than a traditional job search. For example, LinkedIn has made it easier for people to connect with various industry experts and discover new opportunities.

To conclude, a degree from a renowned university can be beneficial, but it is not the only factor that determines success in the job market. A combination of skills, experience and networking is also essential.
