Ans. Yes, I believe consumers should avoid over-packaged products. Companies and Mega-Corporations will keep churning out packaged products to tempt us with the option of convenience. It is, after all, up to us not to let the capitalists impede our overall health and well-being, just to make things easier and faster for us.
In my belief, the emergence of packaged products arrived with the onset of industrialization, urbanisation, and globalisation. Now, due to the paradigm shift in our lifestyles brought about by the onslaught of industrialization, urbanisation, and globalisation, today, we cannot even fathom wasting an ounce of our time on trivial matters, even if it is as simple and basic yet crucial as cooking. We have become so accustomed to the easy way out that we still tend to remain loyal to our old packaged products. I would like to assert my belief that we must avoid over packaged products in the following example.
I stopped using packaged products, especially packaged foods, after witnessing my brother’s deteriorating health after consuming them on a nearly daily basis. After much deeper investigation, I discovered a cesspool of adversaries that packaged products bring into our lives. To put it into perspective, consuming or buying packaged goods is not only harmful to your overall health and may have serious implications in the future, but it is also extremely detrimental to the environment. The production of packaged products every year, all over the world, is solely responsible for causing a dent in our Mother Earth’s atmosphere. In a way, it can be said that by purchasing packaged products, you are not only condoning the act of damaging the environment voluntarily, but also actively participating in such an act.
In conclusion, I would like to state that there is still time for us to get our act together and avoid packaged products at all costs. Greed and comfort should not stand in our way of contributing to a better, greener tomorrow.
