The applicant must have a valid residence visa stamped on passport, and an Emirates ID to sponsor family members. Moreover, the salary mentioned in the labour contract specifies the ability to sponsor family members. Therefore. the individual must earn a salary of approximately 4000AED to sponsor their family members on a residence visa. Additionally. the Ejari tenancy contract of your apartment or a rental agreement must be presented. People of any profession can apply for a visa as long as they fulfil these requirements.

Additional UAE Eligibility Requirements
Additional documentation might be required in case the applicant is sponsoring parents, stepchildren, second wife, son or daughter. Therefore, these documents must be submitted along with other documents. The additional documentation requirements are as follows:
- Applicants wanting to sponsor their parents must keep a separate deposit as a guarantee, and also provide proof that there is no way to take care of parents back home. Such expatriates must have a 2-bedroom accommodation and obtain annual medical insurance for both parents.
- To sponsor step-children, the conditions laid out by GDRFA must be met. Additionally, a written no-objection certificate from the biological parent must be provided for every child.
- A Muslim person is permitted to sponsor 2 wives if the terms and conditions by the GDRFA are met
- Single mothers wanting to sponsor children can do so by keeping a separate deposit for every child, Additionally, a written no-objection certificate from the biological parent must be submitted.
- A daughter can only be sponsored if he/she is unmarried
- On the other hand, an expatriate can sponsor his son only till the age of 18. In case a son is studying in UAE or abroad after 18 sponsorship is possible till te age of 21 years. However, proof of education must be provided.

UAE Family Visa Requirements: For a Wife
The UAE family visa requirements for the spouse are as follows:
- Submit the visa and passport (all bio pages) copy of the sponsor (husband)
- Submit the Emirates ID original of the sponsor (husband)
- A soft copy of Ejari
- A soft copy of the labor contract and your picture
- Marriage certificate with attestation
- Wife’s passport soft copy (all bio pages), and recent colour passport-size photo
UAE Family Visa Requirements: For Your Child
The UAE Family visa requirements for a child are as follows:
- Preset a soft copy of the birth certificate of the child
- A soft copy of the sponsor’s (father or mother) passport copy. A copy of all bio pages must be submitted
- Present a soft copy of the sponsor visa
- Present the original Emirates ID of the sponsor. (Husband)

Medical: UAE Family Visa Requirements
Another important UAE Family visa requirement is to submit the medical files. A medical examination will be conducted for the purpose. The medical Centre where the examination will be conducted must be approved by the Dubai Health Authority and the Ministry of Health & Prevention. The following documentation must be submitted for the purpose.

Emirates ID: UAE Family Visa Requirements
An Emirates ID is a mandatory UAE family visa requirement. To obtain an Emirates ID card applicants must visit the FAIC website and fill out the E-form. The documents must be submitted for the purpose.
- The original valid residency or entry permit
- A passport
- Submit the original birth certificate or the father’s passport or Emirates ID

Insurance: UAE Family Visa Requirements
Insurance is another major UAE family visa requirement. As per the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), every visa holder must possess a medical insurance plan. For this purpose,
- The personal medical policy for dependents can be purchased. The limit of the insurance must be 150,000 AED along with 20% coinsurance.
- The insurance can be purchased from local providers. The services are called via health centres, hospitals, clinics, etc.
- Additionally, the insured must pay 20% coinsurance with 500 AED per encounter, and an annual amount of 1000 AED. Any medical costs, that exceed this limit will be paid by the insurer. This includes the coinsurance, medicine expenses and drug expenses of an annual limit of 1,500AED.

The applicants must have a minimum salary of AED 4,000 per month or more. As per the new rules, the profession of the applicant is not considered, only the income.
The basic minimum salary needed for a family visa is an amount of f AED 4,000. Previously, only people from certain occupations were permitted to apply. However, in the new Dubai rules of 2022, only the income of the applicant is considered.
