Background

In 2012, the World Federation of Chiropractic for the first time organised the World Spine Day. The primary objective of celebrating this day was to raise awareness about spinal health and encourage people to step out of their comfort zones and participate in physical exercises

Later on, several international and regional healthcare organizations collaborated with the WFC, where discussion and research activities were conducted to better understand the function of spinal muscle and back pain in humans.

Since 2012, WFC has released unique themes for this day, all of which revolved around prompting good body posture, and physical activity and raising awareness of spinal conditions. Thanks to the efforts of all the healthcare providers and organisations who have conducted research activities and raised awareness of spinal health among the masses. Their efforts empower individuals to participate in physical activities for good spinal health and seek appropriate care when needed.
