Admission Process
If you want to get your kid into class LKG admissions in Kendriya Vidyalaya, then follow these steps:
- First, complete the application form online or submit it at the nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya School.
- You are also required to prove your child’s age and place of residence along with the admission form.
- All required documents must be photocopied, signed, and tested by a notary before submitting them to authorities.
- You must check the official website of KVS for the latest notifications and details related to admissions, such as registration deadlines, entrance test dates, and much more.
- You are highly recommended to confirm the application by visiting the authorities to ensure the timely and properly processed.
Eligibility Requirements
The minimum age for admission to Balvatika-1 will be 3 years onwards. Age consideration for Balvatika classes shall be taken as of 31. 03. 2024 (A child born on 1st April will also be considered.)

Note:
- The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in the case of children with special needs (CwSN), by the principal.
- Admission will be given as per priority category and reservation norms as mentioned in the Admission Guidelines for the year 2024-25.
- Admission will not be granted if wrong and misleading information in the application form is found at the time of scrutiny by Kendri Vidyalaya.
- Contact the Principal/Admission in charge only when called, in the given time slot.

- Medical certificate if in case the child is differently abled
- Birth certificate

Ans: You cannot submit an online application for class 6 admission. For class 1, only online applications are accepted, while offline applications are accepted for the other classes.
Ans: For KV Class 1 admission 2024-2025, online registration will likely begin in April 2024.
Ans: There are 40 students admitted to each section in each KV. However, the Vidyalaya Principal can increase the class size by up to 50 based on various provisions.
