IIM Bangalore Financial Aid
In addition to IIM Bangalore scholarships, the institute also provides financial aid to students in need. The Financial Aid Policy of IIM-B encourages students to not give up on their higher education due to financial constraints. Let’s take a look at how it works:
Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for financial aid at IIM-B, students need to fulfil the following criteria:
- The applicant must be enrolled in PGP and have a family income of less than INR 8,00,000.

Selection Process: The Financial Aid Committee of IIM-B conducts the selection of students in 2 phases:
- The first phase involves giving a financial status score to students based on 4 factors: annual gross household income, household savings, real estate, and miscellaneous assets.
- The second phase involves personal interaction with the faculty panel based on the student’s financial score. The panel analyses and determines the student’s financial need based on the documents provided and assigns them a final score.
- The applicants are offered 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, or 20% financial aid based on the weighted average of the initial and final scores.
