DTE Maharashtra Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria
The DTE Maharashtra Scholarship is an umbrella term used to describe two scholarships collectively. They are Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna and Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna. Both these schemes have the following eligibility criteria as mentioned below:
The applicant must be:
- An Indian citizen
- A domicile of Maharashtra state
- A bonafide student of the institute enrolled in a technical/professional course.
- Admitted through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
- Having an annual income of less than INR 8 Lakhs.
- At least 50% attendance in the previous semester.
Note: Applicants from the deemed university are not considered eligible for this scheme. They also cannot avail of other scholarships while applying for this. For the ongoing academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to benefit from the scholarship. The candidate must also not have had a gap of more than 2 years in course duration.
DTE Maharashtra Scholarship: Important Dates
The application period for the DTE Maharashtra Scholarship 2023 is from 11 October 2023 to 31 March 2024. Students must apply timely between these dates to avail of these scholarships.
Amount/Benefits
The schemes under DTE Maharashtra Scholarship offer various awards and benefits to eligible students. They are as follows:
- Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna – Eligible students receive an amount equivalent to 50% of tuition and exam fees.
- Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna –
