SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2023 

The SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2023 has been altered and segregated into two categories i.e.: Tier 1 and Tier 2. Individuals intending to partake in the said exam are required to go through the prescribed exam patterns to get a good grasp of the questions that may be asked during the examination. The questionnaire for the Tier 1 Exam will consist of around 100 objective-based questions (MCQ). The Tier 1 Exam will carry a weightage of 200 marks. 

It must be noted that both Tier 1 and Tier 2 Exams will be administered via online mode. The Tier 2 Exam questionnaire will be made up of 4 primary sections, namely  Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics, and General Studies (Finance and Economics). SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2023

The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam is primarily administered to evaluate an individual’s cognitive prowess, grasp of the subjects, and mental aptitude. It is critical for aspirants to qualify for this round to be eligible for the further stages of the selection process. Candidates appearing for the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam are required to cover topics from the following sections: Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and the English Language. 

Individuals must keep in mind that each section of the exam will comprise 25 questions and will carry a total weightage of 50 marks (per section). Candidates will be given 1 hour to attempt their questions. Candidates will receive +2 points for each valid response, but for every incorrect response, individuals will be penalised 0.50 marks.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2023 (Revised)

Candidates aspiring to sit for the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam must first qualify for their Tier 1 exam.  The SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern is categorised into three separate papers, namely Paper I, Paper II and Paper III.  As of now, the altered SSC CGL Tier 2  Exam Pattern states: 

• Paper 1 includes three primary sections and is conducted for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Sections encompassed in this paper cover topics such as Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, and  Computer Knowledge. 
• Candidates who wish to work as Junior Statistical Officers are required to sit for Paper 2. Individuals appearing for the paper can expect to be asked questions primarily based on statistics. The questionnaire for the paper comprises 100 questions and carries a weightage of  200 marks. Aspirants partaking in the said exam will be provided with a total duration of 2 hours to attempt the paper. 
• Individuals who qualified for their Paper 3 in the Tier 1 exam are required to sit for the  Tier 2-Paper III. Candidates appearing for the said exam can expect to be asked questions primarily based on General Studies (Finance and Economics). The questionnaire for the said exam encompasses 100 objective-based questions and carries a weightage of  200 marks. Aspirants will be provided with a time duration of 2 hours to attempt the paper.
