NMIMS LAT 2023 FAQs

The NMIMS LAT Exam is an entrance test to get admission in Law courses of B.A. LLB and B.B.A. LLB in the 6 campuses of SVKM’s NMIMS. The term NMIMS LAT stands for Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Law Aptitude Test.

The NMIMS LAT exam entitles a student to admission to an integrated degree program at an NMIMS campus. The degree and exam are as per the advisory by the Bar Council of India. The program offers students 100% assistance in placements. The students are also involved in credit-based internship programs as a part of their coursework. The coursework is also practical and involves dissertations and case studies along with Legal writing practices and Moot Courts.

The NMIMS LAT Registration 2023 started on 01 December 2022. The Registrations will continue till May 2023. The booking of NMIMS LAT Exam slots began on 06 December 2022 and the candidates can choose their slots and exam centres accordingly. 

The last date for the NMIMS LAT Exam form or Registration for the exam is 21st May 2023. The candidates can book their NMIMS LAT Exam slots till 23rd May 2023. Further, no booking requests will be entertained after the slot booking deadline even if the candidate is registered.

The NMIMS LAT Exam can be booked anytime between 4th January 2023 to 31st May 2023.

The application fee for NMIMS LAT Entrance Exam is INR 2000. This application fee is to be submitted online while filling and submitting the application form.

To get admission in Law courses at NMIMS Law School the candidate should have completed class 12th from a recognised board or institution with a minimum of aggregate 50% marks in any stream.

NMIMS LAT application procedure is open to students who are yet to appear in the class 12th examination. The condition of acceptance to the course is however subject to the submission of the class 12th mark sheet at the time of admission. 

No, NMIMS LAT does not have any negative markings in the test. The examination consists of 150 multiple-choice questions that have to be answered in 120 minutes. 

The NMIMS LAT Exam is conducted offline at various exam centres. The exam centres are spread all over the country including Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions which carry 1 mark each equally divided amongst 5 sections of Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, General Knowledge & and quantitative reasoning. Each section has 30 questions and a weightage of 30 marks. 

The NMIMS LAT 2023 Results will be released on the official website of NMIMS. To check the result the candidates can visit the official website of the exam page and log in into their accounts. Click on the NMIMS LAT 2023 Scorecard and the results will be displayed on the candidate’s screen.
