As per the previous year’s trends, the CAT exam 2024 notification is expected to be released on the last week of July 2024. The official notification is yet to be announced by the CAT conducting body.

The CAT 2024 Exam Pattern outlines the structure and format of the examination, providing essential details on the types of questions, the number of sections, and the overall duration of the test.

CAT Notification 2024: Exam Dates  (Tentative)

The dates for the CAT examination will be announced by the exam conducting authority. The official notification is yet to be announced. However, as per the previous year’s trends, the tentative dates for the CAT exam 2024 are shown in the table given below: 

CAT 2024 Exam Fees

To successfully submit the CAT 2024 application, candidates need to pay the exam fee online using UPI, a credit or debit card, or internet banking. Here are the registration fees for different categories:

• SC/ST/PwD: Rs 1200*
• General/EWS/NC-OBC: Rs 2400*

*Note: These fees are based on the CAT 2023 brochure and may change when the CAT 2024 brochure is released.

In 2023, CAT registrations increased by about 30%, reaching a record high of 3.28 lakh candidates, with around 88% of them taking the exam. Over 3 lakh candidates are expected to register for CAT this year as well.

CAT Notification 2024: Registration Process

The CAT 2024 application form is expected to be available in the first week of August, possibly on August 2. Candidates can fill out the form on the official CAT website, iimcat.ac.in. To start, they need to create CAT login credentials with a unique email and mobile number. After that, they can fill in the details and upload the required documents. Follow these steps for easy and simple registration process:

• Click on ‘Registered Candidate Login’ and use your CAT 2024 ID and password to log in.
• Fill in your personal, academic, work experience, program preferences, and test city details.
• Provide your academic records starting from SSC/Class 10.
• If applicable, enter your work experience.
• Choose up to six preferred exam cities.
• Upload the necessary documents in the specified format and size.
• Pay the CAT 2024 application fee.
• Review all the information and submit the form.

The application form for the CAT exam will be made available to the candidates on the official web portal, ie, iimcat.ac.in. CAT Notification 2024: Admit Card Download

The CAT exam 2024 admit cards will be made available to the candidates who have registered for the examination. The direct link to download your admit card will be released soon by the conducting body. Candidates should be aware of the release date for the CAT 2024 admit card and understand the following key points:

• Only those who have registered can download the CAT 2024 admit card.
• The admit card can be accessed and downloaded from the official IIM CAT website (iimcat.ac.in) by logging in with their ID and password.
• The admit card includes details such as the test center, exam date, and other important exam information.
• It is essential to bring the admit card on the exam day.
• Candidates must check that all the information on the admit card is accurate and contact the authorities immediately if there are any errors.

CAT Notification 2024: Answer Key (Download Link Yet to Released)

The answer key link we be soon released after the exam is conducted. Authorities typically release the CAT response sheet and answer key about 8-10 days after the exam. Candidates can download their recorded responses and answers from the official CAT website (iimcat.ac.in). Using the CAT score vs. percentile information provided, candidates can estimate their scores.

CAT Notification 2024: Results

The CAT 2024 notification is expected to be released on July 30, 2024. You can find it on the official IIM CAT website. It will include eligibility criteria, registration guidelines, exam patterns, important dates, and more. Updates will be available on this page.

IIM Calcutta is likely to conduct the exam this year, with about 3 lakh students expected to participate. The exam will be more challenging, so candidates should prepare thoroughly to achieve high scores in each section and meet overall cut-off percentiles.

MBA aspirants should also expect an increase in application fees. The number of exam centres may be increased from 150 to make it more convenient for test-takers. The CAT exam is anticipated to be held on November 24, 2024.
