PU LLB 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are willing to apply for PU LLB 2023 must have a bachelor’s/master’s degree from Panjab University or any other recognized university. The candidates must have secured at least 45% in their degree courses. 5% relaxation is applicable for reserved categories like SC, ST, and PwD. There’s no such age limit for candidates who wish to apply for PU LLB.
PU LLB 2023 Application Process
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form on the official website of PU, i.e. pglaw.puchd.ac.in. Candidates first need to register themselves using their phone number, email id, etc. They will then receive a confirmation mail and then can verify and move forward with the registration process. After the completion of registration, candidates will receive a login ID and password. Candidates will have to fill in their details like their Aadhar Card and date of birth, etc.
Here’s a list of documents one must have, otherwise their application will be rejected.
- Class 10th and 12th and graduation mark sheets.
- Scanned photographs with your signature.
- Government-issued ID proof.
- Certificate of Disability (if any)
- Character certificate which is not older than six months from the date of admission.
Following the declaration of exam results, the selected candidates will be called to take admission into Panjab University. Those candidates will have to reserve their seats by paying the admission fee for the course at Panjab University.
PU LLB 2023 Preparation Tips
Preparing yourself for an upcoming examination you need to have a clear mindset. You should always prepare yourself beforehand to avoid chaos at the end. The first and foremost thing is to prepare a timetable for yourself. Set a separate time to examine yourself and for the revision of the syllabus. Here are some tips you can follow and take on while preparing for the PU LLB entrance test.
- Read all the instructions carefully available on the official portal.
- One must refer to the exam patterns, structure, marking schemes, and time available for the exam beforehand.
- Try and revise everything at least 2-3 hours a day.
- Make notes for yourself and keep revising them when necessary.
- As all the entrance exams have a general knowledge portion, keep yourself updated with everyday affairs. Read newspapers, and magazines and watch news shows as well.
- The most important part is to solve all the mock papers and sample papers available. This will give good practice.
- Keep an eye on the time limit. Set the clock and then start giving mock exams.
- Do your study early in the morning so that you can rest in the noon.
PU LLB stands for Panjab University Legum Baccalaureus (LLB) test for admissions.
Yes, PU provides LLB courses at its law centres. There are a total of 480 seats available for the program. The candidates aspiring to get admission to PU LLB must clear the PU LLB Entrance Exam.
The total fee for 3 years LLB program at PU is around 1.4 lakhs.
The application dates for PU LLB 2023 will be out tentatively in the first week of June 2023. Candidates can fill out the application form and pay the application fee online.
The PU LLB entrance test will include objective questions (MCQs). Each question will have a set of 4 choices, out of which only one will be correct. Candidates will have to mark only that choice to score for the question. and will get 100 questions in total. You will get 90 mins for the exam.
PU LLB entrance exam will consist of 100 objective questions. Candidates will get 1 and a half hours (90 minutes) to complete the exam.
For the general category candidate, the application fee is Rs. 2175/- and if a candidate belongs to the SC/ST/PwD category, they need to pay Rs.1088/-.
