Factors Affecting JKSET Cut Off
JSKET Cut-off is determined to select candidates for the posts of Assistant professors and Lecturers. The cut-off may be estimated based on different factors like;
The difficulty level of the exam determines the cut-off for the results. If the exam for which the candidate is appearing is difficult, the qualifying cut-off set for the results might be less.
Another factor determining the cut-off marks is the number of candidates who are appearing for the exam. There is a proportional relationship between the cut-off and the candidates appearing for the exam. If the candidates are high, then the cut-off will be higher and vice-versa.
According to the reservation policy, the cut-off marks are generally decided less than for the general category. The general category cut-off is slightly high if there are reserved seats for certain categories.
Another factor is the vacancies available for the post. There is an indirect relationship between the vacancies available and cut-off marks. If the vacancies available are more than the cut-off marks will be high.
