AWES PRT Eligibility Criteria: The Army Welfare Education Society has laid out all the required qualifications for the position of Primary Teachers at Army Public Schools in India. Candidates who want to become a teacher must ensure that they possess all the AWES PRT eligibility criteria so that they can appear for the written examination.
The AWES PRT 2023 is scheduled for 30th September and 1st October 2023. Candidates can fill out the AWES PRT 2023 application form by visiting the official website of the Army Welfare Education Society between 21st July to 10th September 2023. The eligibility criteria for AWES PRT are divided into three parts; Educational Qualifications, Age Limit, and Nationality.

AWES PRT Eligibility Criteria
The officials of the Army Welfare Education Society released the eligibility criteria for all the positions offered through the AWES recruitment process; PGT, TGT, PRT, and Librarian. Candidates interested in the PRT position in the national-level recruitment process can check the table below which highlights the eligibility requirements in detail.

Educational Qualifications | Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the specific subject. Or Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Education or a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a 4-year Integrated Course and must have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) |
Age Limit | Candidates must not be younger than 29 years and older than 36 years of age. |
Nationality | Candidates possessing Indian nationality are eligible to apply for the position of Primary Teacher at Army Public Schools via AWES. |
Number of Attempts | There is no limit on how many times a candidate can appear for the AWES PRT exam, as long as their age is below the upper limit, which is 36 years. |
Experience | Candidates with no or below 5 years of teaching experience fall under the Freshers category. Candidates who have more than 5 years of teaching experience in the last 10 years fall under the Experienced category. |

Documents Required
To ensure that the candidates possess the required eligibility criteria, the AWES PRT requires candidates to upload scanned copies of all the necessary documents. The documents required are as follows.

Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, between the age group of 29 to 36 years, and possess Indian nationality are eligible to apply for the AWES PRT exam.
Candidates who don’t have any work experience can also apply for AWES Primary Teacher recruitment process. The AWES PRT does not require any work experience.
The AWER Primary Teacher exams will be conducted in different shifts from 30th September to 1st October 2023.
