The Government of Delhi has taken several measures to ensure that the G20 summit event is carried on efficiently and smoothly. The G20 Summit 2023 holiday in Delhi is dated on the 8th, 9th and 10th of September.
The Delhi government notified about this public holiday last week and all the banks, financial institutions and commercial establishments are to remain shut on the given dates. This step is taken with the aim to ensure the safety and smooth functioning of this international event.

What’s Open and What’s Not During the G20 Summit
In the last week of August, the General Administration Department (GAD) of the Delhi government released a notification stating a public holiday from September 8th to September 10th 2023.
From September 8th to 10th, all the banks and financial institutions located within the jurisdiction of the New Delhi Police District will remain shut on the given dates.
All the educational institutions including schools and colleges, along with all Delhi government and private offices will be closed on the given dates.
