The new Western Australian Premier’s WACE Bursary is being offered to qualified study abroad aspirants enrolled in overseas schools that provide the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). The Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarship application period will begin in March 2023.
For qualifying offshore WACE graduates enrolling in undergraduate programmes at one of the state’s five institutions, the WACE Bursary will offer up to 50 one-year $20,000 scholarships per year. These scholarships will help cover living, travel, and course expenses. For qualified study abroad aspirants from target and priority markets enrolling in an appropriate postgraduate course at one of the State’s five institutions, ten one-time $50,000 scholarships will be made available each year. Every year, two scholarships will be given to study abroad aspirants by each university.

Additionally, the State Government has committed $7 million to continuing the International Student ELICOS Bursary (ISEB) and International Student Accommodation Subsidy (ISAS) in Semester 1 of 2023.
The ISAS and ISEB, which were introduced in December 2021 as a component of the $195 million Reconnect WA package, seek to assist qualifying study abroad aspirants who arrive onshore in Western Australia by offering one-time payments of $1500 to cover housing costs and ELICOS course expenses.
