Founded in 1873, Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) is a public university located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The university was previously ranked 78th in 2019 and 2020 and previously ranked 90th in the same category in 2018. Southeast Missouri University is located in an urban environment and covers an area of more than 400 hectares. The institution offers more than 200 research fields, including bachelor's and master's degrees and doctoral degrees. Southeast University is a medium-sized university with approximately 12,000 students. It provides critical learning and extracurricular opportunities. In addition, almost 100% of the courses provide internships and experiential education. From two weeks to one year of stay abroad, students also have the opportunity to travel to different countries. The River Campus, where the Holland School of Arts and Media is located, has recently been added to strengthen the university’s commitment to art education.
