Founded in 1873, Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) is a public university located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. If we talk about the world ranking of Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO). The university is ranked 76th in 2021 by US News and World - Regional University Midwest. The university was previously ranked 78th in 2019 and 2020 and previously ranked 90th in the same category in 2018. As part of the Southeast Missouri State University rankings, the university is praised by the US News and World Report for its global research reputation, regional research reputation and the number of cited publications in addition to other ranking parameters. Also, according to Times Higher Education, Southeast Missouri State University rankings placed at 600th position in US College Rankings 2022. 

Infrastructure, Campuses & Courses 

Southeast Missouri University is located in an urban environment and covers an area of more than 400 hectares. The institution offers more than 200 research fields, including bachelor's and master's degrees and doctoral degrees. Southeast University is a medium-sized university with approximately 12,000 students. It provides critical learning and extracurricular opportunities. In addition, almost 100% of the courses provide internships and experiential education. From two weeks to one year of stay abroad, students also have the opportunity to travel to different countries. The River Campus, where the Holland School of Arts and Media is located, has recently been added to strengthen the university’s commitment to art education.

Southeast Missouri State University Visa Acceptance Rate is 93%. Half of the applicants admitted in southeastern Missouri have SAT scores between 1030 and 1200, or ACT scores between 19-25.
