Q: Which programs are NTU-USP compatible?

Except for Medicine and programs with a second major/minor, most degree programs from four colleges are eligible to apply for NTU-USP. However, NTU-USP accepts double degrees in Accounting and Business (ACBS) from the College of Business and Psychology with a second major in Biological Science (PSBS).

Q: Will I be required to take a written test during the interview?

During the NTU-USP interview, there will be no written test. Shortlisted applicants, on the other hand, must submit an essay online by a certain date.

Q: What exactly is NTU-USP?

NTU-USP stands for NTU-University Scholars Programme. Only a few students will be offered both the program and the scholarship, while others may only receive the program. Academically difficult, intellectually adventurous, and stimulating is the goal of the programme. Students are provided numerous opportunities to explore a variety of fields outside of their particular field of study, which they can combine with their studies at NTU-USP.

Q: What's the difference between the Nanyang and NTU-USP scholarships?

The NTU-USP Scholarship is a one-of-a-kind opportunity. It is a programme that provides monetary and non-monetary rewards to a small number of academically talented kids. In comparison to NTU's Nanyang Scholarship, the NTU-USP Scholarship offers the same perks as the Nanyang Scholarship, including subsidised Study Abroad possibilities and more.

About the University

History, Affiliations and Rankings

Nanyang Technological University established in 1955, was the first and only Chinese university outside of China and Taiwan. Mr Tan Lark Sye proposed the concept of creating a Chinese university on January 16, 1953 and he made a personal donation of S$5 million. The Hokkien Huay Kuan donated 523 acres of property to the institution on March 23, 1953. Mr. Tan Communities all around Southeast Asia reacted positively to his request for the construction of a Chinese university. Since 2005, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has given the university accreditation in both Business and Accounting. The American Association for the Advancement of Science and Business (AAASB) is a mark of distinction in Management education. It ensures quality and encourages excellence and continual progress in business and accounting education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The University ranks #46 globally and is placed #2 worldwide in the Young University Rankings released by Times Higher Education in 2022.

Applicant should possess outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'A' level, Diploma awarded by a polytechnic in Singapore, NUS High School Diploma, IB Diploma or Year 12 equivalent qualifications.

What is the name of the degree I should pursue if I wish to pursue a career in Engineering, and who will give the degree?
